Summary:
The flex employee program is designed to temporarily supplement departments with temporary employees for reasons such as interim replacement for individual on a leave of absence, assist with completion of a project or fill in for open positions. Employment assignments in this category are of limited duration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Flex employees must work less than 30 hours per week on average.
2. Employee may be used in most positions and can move from department to department as needed to assist in areas that are in most need of employees.
3. Flex employees may be subject to work any shift.
4. Employees may be called into work on an “as needed” basis to fill in for departments.
5. Flex hours are not a guarantee. Employees need to stay in constant communication with their Manager/Supervisor as to the hours that are available for work.
6. Employees have the right to turn down work if it’s offered and does not fit into their schedule.

- Follow directions and instructions by team lead, supervisor, or manager.
- Ability to accurately measure and read simple blueprints or schematics or instructions.
- Ability to use tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to handle production raw materials and subassemblies safely.
- Knowledge of corporate production methods and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Skilled in using tools and equipment.
- Ability to maintain work orders.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Skilled in problem solving
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to continuously stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to communicate and listen to co-workers and is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. In addition to the lifting the job requires various carrying, pushing/pulling, kneeling, crawling and squatting.
Additional Training
Continuous training in warehouse and safety procedures, and certification in the operation of heavy equipment as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally or more frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions indoors or outside, may be exposed to moving mechanical parts variously, in hot, humid, dry, dusty, and cold conditions inside and outside the building. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
