PRN, As Needed, Shifts include 5:30am-2pm or 10am to 6:30pm

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position performs preparation, serving, and cleaning of food to patients and employees of Regional Medical Center in accordance with hospital and departmental standards, policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

– High School Diploma preferred
– Experience/education in food services, cooking, etc. preferred
– Valid Iowa driver’s license and clean driving record required
– Child and Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter Training required (provided by RMC)

Position Specific Requirements:

– Prepares and serves food to patients, employees and public and assures the finished products are appetizing and nutritious
– Assembles neat, attractive and therapeutically correct trays
– Acquires knowledge of special diets
– Assists in serving meals to employees and public
– Maintains cash register in Jerry’s Place
– Maintains stock of items in Jerry’s Place
– Assists department members
– Maintains neat and sanitary work area
– Handles equipment and supplies to conserve the resources of the department
– Performs routine cleaning in the kitchen
– Follows diet orders
– Performs sanitary dishwashing procedures
