Northeast Iowa Community College is a comprehensive community college serving the transfer, technical, and vocational educational needs of Northeast Iowa residents, businesses and industries. Classes are offered at the satellite facility in Manchester, the campus in Peosta, downtown Dubuque, over the Iowa Communications Network and at local businesses and industries. Over 50 vocational and technical programs are offered, as well as the Associate in Arts degree and general education courses. Students may major in a wide variety of areas in business, health, industrial technologies and agriculture fields.
Custom training of employees is available in a number of areas such as: Computer Numeric Control, Total Quality Management, Just In Time, ISO 9000 and QS 9000, welding, AC/DC Theory and Programmable Logic Controllers just to name a few. NICC has just started an Integrated Manufacturing Technician program which is designed to provide students with a broad technical background in production areas. NICC is also beginning to offer CISCO Networking Academies, which will prepare students for the CISCO Certified Networking Associate exam.
